Here's the scoop on Mari's mix n' match style and eclectic accessories:
Q: How tall are you? 5ft4in
Q: How would you describe your style? Subtle and personal. I love prints and colors as much as I love my solids and basics; I like to mix the prints and color in subtle ways or in the details. I have love for well-made, timeless classics. Most days, you'd find me wearing something that was once worn by someone else (typically my mom when she was my age), gift, or made by me (like my AfterFive Designs jewelry) - it's important to me that I have on something that is personal.
Q: Favorite winter accessory? I especially love scarves of all kinds, silk or knitted, infinity, or shawl-like. I love that it's a multi-tasker: instantly add a pop of color and personality and give some warmth.
Q: Favorite piece from the new collection and where do you see yourself wearing it? I love the simple and refined look of the black [Blair Popover] and the [Charlie Tap Short] that would be effortless for a day out at the museum, then off to happy hour with friends. I could slip into a pair of stockings with it, slap on a belt and a colored cardigan over and head to a design meeting or a client visit.
Q: What's one thing people would be surprised to find out about you? I've spent my days working in health care, academia, non-profit, tech, and public sector until I stumbled upon metalsmithing. Now it's taken over my days, nights, and weekends and I can't get enough!
Q: Sneakers or Pumps? Pumps.
Q: Fries or Sundae? [French] fries dipped in sundae! (But, if you meant the Korean sundae/soondae, hands down sundae > french fries!)
