SUMMER DAYS ...

It's well past the end of summer, but I'm still thinking about those last lingering days of warm weather. Maybe it's because we had a freakish hot spell in the Bay Area just in time for Fleet Week earlier this month.

These pictures are from the actual end of summer, when J and I finally visited the Girl and the Fig for the first time. It's easy to see why this place is so immensely popular: comfortable wine country setting + top notch food and ingredients = lines out the door. I wish there were a formula like that for fashion . . . but I digress.

Sparkling rose - I can't think of a better way to start brunch.

Shoestring fries. Because if you know me at all, you know I'll never say no to fries.
